Hello everyone. CIGAP here. I'm not sure why I'm making this a chapter, but I felt that this was important enough to make on its own, as I would like to explain myself. This was hastily written and posted, so I may have written some of this poorly, but that's ok.

  Destiny Bond is the first of a series of books I wanted to write. This was an ambitious project from the start, estimating around 5 million words in length if everything goes to plan. Destiny Bond itself was looking to end around 1 million words, so we're about halfway done the story. I have actually begun the writing process of the second book, and I do not plan to abandon this story.

  However, as many authors do, I wish to be able to popularize this story and make a living off of it. This is not the primary goal of my journey in writing, but it is something I would like to be able to do.

  As it stands, the story is not doing very well. There are many of you that are reading, and I sincerely thank you for following along. I will say right now that I will not be taking this story down, nor will it be abandoned.

  However, I do realize that the first half of the story is written somewhat poorly compared to my standards now. As a result, I plan on rewriting the story in a fashion that keeps this version cannon, but reads better and has a more engaging and well written plot. With this in mind, I would like to be able to finish this story faster in order to publish the second book and begin working on the re-write.

  This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

  Therefore, the ending of this story may be slightly more rushed than I had planned. I may skim through the arcs faster than what I initially meant to do, although the plot points and direction will remain exactly the same.

  I would like to clarify that I do not believe my story is bad or boring. I have not received any comments that would lead me to believe so, and this is something I have decided purely of my own will. I still love this story and it is precious to me. However, the concept of "better" is something one can always strive for, and I believe this is one of those things.

  As a result, since this story is now for the few that are still here, I am offering this: if you would like, I will share the entire Destiny Bond folder. This will include the following:

  All chapters (including scrapped and "hidden" chapters)

  Character profiles (of which there aren't too many, but if you'd like to look at my thought process and older versions of people, that's fine. These may also contain minor spoilers)

  Planning process, world building and arc outlines

  The chapters that are in the folders but unpublished remain subject to change as edits and rewrites for them may happen. Again, I don't plan on dropping the quality or anything like that, but I may rush the ending just a little. Having you all here with me is a dream come true. At first, I was writing this for myself, but now, this is for all of you as well.

  I would like to clarify that this is not a result of me feeling that I am not good enough or anything like that. Although I would enjoy better growth with the story, I am simply realizing that I can improve myself, and that there is a lot of room for me to grow. There also remains the fact that the first 80 chapters are definitely of lower quality than they could be. While I do not think they are bad, I also see why many people have slowly dropped off the story. I do not believe this is an issue with the plot, but rather inherently how I've written things. The balance between meta commentary and a generic fantasy plot is something that takes planning and skill to do, and I think I may have jumped the gun in going to publish this story.
