Chapter 44: Doted On

  Chapter Forty-Four: Doting

Finally managed to drag the two guys back home, as soon as they entered the door, they saw Ruan Ruan hugging Wu Song and sitting on the sofa in her mother's arms, with red eyes and a nose that was still twitching, obviously having just cried. The other three little ones were honestly sitting beside them, while their mother and sister were comforting Ruan Ruan.

"My mom said: 'Our family's Ruan Ruan is the bravest, just scratched a bit and didn't cry, got better in a few days.'" She continued to blow on Ruan Ruan's injured leg.

Jian An has returned, Wu Song swiftly ran down from Ruan Ruan's arms and Jian An stretched out his hand, then lifted him up, and Wu Song steadily sat on Jian An's shoulders.

"Which part of the song is this again? Why does Ruan's little face look like it's about to cry?"

Sister said: "A group of little guys, riding on a small cow, don't know how they provoked the small cow, suddenly ran away, and directly threw Rong Rong down, dragging her leg on the ground for a while."

Living a comfortable life, looking at the faint scars, just a few streaks of blood, no skin was shed. Then, dissatisfied, he said to his mother: "Is that all? You've been cooing for half a day with this? I say you're really..." Turning his head to Ruan Ruan, he said: "You just scratched your skin and cried like this, Ruan Ruan is so delicate. Your sister hasn't even cried, but you're crying like this. How can you protect your sister?"

Sniffling and wiping her nose, she said: "Sister didn't lie".

"Get up and take your sister to play with Jerry." Ju An stretched out his hand and pulled Rang Rang from her mother's arms, patted her little butt, and watched as the group of kids walked out.

"Is this all you've got? You just drew a little and then ran over here crying?"

Sister said: "It was mom who picked vegetables from the greenhouse and happened to see Ruan Ruan fall down, so she went over to hold her and check this and that, and then Ruan Ruan cried."

"Mom, what's the big deal if I fell down? The calf is not that high and there's soft sand in the pen anyway," Ju An complained.

Mom said with a serious tone: "Such a small child, why aren't you worried? Your brother and sister-in-law sent the kid to me, what if something happens, then what can I do..."

Seeing her mom having a tendency to talk excessively, Ju An immediately changed the subject: "What about Dad and Brother-in-law?"

  "Followed Thomas to herd cattle."

Then Ju An followed her mother and pulled a few more sentences, finally diverting her mother's attention from Rong Rong. When her mother continued to cook lunch, Ju An and Wang Fan, Wu Ming walked to the door and took a look, the four little guys had entered the pen and were still messing with the calf.

Ju An shook his head and said: "This is really a child's, an old couple's **."

Wang Fan smiled and said: "You seem to be the youngest son."

When I was young, if there were only two eggs left at home, my siblings would definitely get one each and I would have one to myself.

Looking at Ju An's expression, Wang Fan couldn't help but laugh.

"Wu Ming continued: 'Your mom is still okay, my sister's kid is six years old and still sleeps with my parents at night.'"

At noon, everyone gathered together to eat. Of course, Wu Song didn't get a seat at the table and had to make do with a chair as his own little table. His mother also got him a small stool, which was pitifully placed by Guan An's leg. He ate a big plate of mixed rice, a few slices of apple, a few grapes, and some carrot sticks as long as fingers.

"Hey, how are you guys communicating with Old Thomas? You don't even speak the same language!"

"My brother-in-law smiled and took over, saying: 'Speak slowly, add some gestures, that's basically it.'"

"Dad nodded and said: 'There's nothing much to do when you're idle, following them to graze the cows, these past few days have been great for my mood'."

Mom smiled and said, "That's right, since your dad retired, he has been sleeping less, unlike before when he would snore loudly as soon as he leaned against the bed, and this time his snores were even louder."

Originally, Ju An thought they were just fishing or something and didn't want to cause trouble for Thomas and the others. After hearing his mother say that, what could Ju An, as a filial son, do but go along with it?

Dad smiled and said to Wang Fan and Wu Ming: "This time come stay a few more days, at an older age, I like the bustle."

Wang Fan smiled and said: "Uncle, I won't be staying for many days, there are still some things to attend to at home. Wu Ming will stay a few more days though."

Dad treated two people to dinner: "It's good to take career seriously, don't be like our family's Old Three, idle and lazy every day."

Ju An almost got splashed by a mouthful of beef soup, and then suddenly mentioned himself again. Turning his head around, he saw Wang Fan and Wu Ming lowering their heads and giggling foolishly.

After dinner, Wu Song was taken out for a walk by the two men, Wu Ming and Wang Fan, to digest their food. The four little ones were driven to the upstairs room by their mother for a nap, making the courtyard quiet again.

"Alright then, you two like working, so this afternoon I'll have you follow Thomas and the others to herd cattle."

Wang Fan and Wu Ming said in unison: "And you?"

"Personally, I'm quite lazy," said Ju An with a wave of his hand. "I'll go to the shooting range this afternoon and play for a couple of rounds, then go fishing."

Wang Fan and Wu Ming immediately surrounded him, using their arms to strangle Ju An's neck and shouting: "Damn it, I'll beat you to death! How dare you play with guns without bringing us along!"

After making a big fuss, the two guys finally stopped.

Back home, he took out the key, opened the gun cabinet, and Wang Fan and Wu Ming were delighted. Wu Ming said: "Bring M4, you said last time that continuous shooting is very comfortable, today we two will also go to sweep a few shots."

Living a comfortable life, I suddenly thought of the last time I was at the shooting range in the gun store, just like two guys showing off, who knew that these two guys remembered it, and they couldn't help but slap their mouths twice to make you shut up.

Jū ān took a revolver, a rifle and an M4. He checked each one to make sure there were no bullets in the magazine, then handed the rifle and M4 over to two guys. When he went to take the bullets, the M4 had two clips on it.

Who would have thought that Wu Ming saw it and said: "Come on, don't be stingy, there are four more clips inside, take them all!"

"Damn it," said Ju An, "two drum magazines are not enough for you to cause trouble, and now you want to bring the clips too?" He took out the clips and threw them into his bag.

Mounted on horseback, with two calamities in tow, they soon arrived at the simple shooting range of Ju'an. Along the way, the two guys galloped like they had taken Viagra. As a result, Wu Song, sitting in front of Ju'an's saddle, tightly grasped the large pommel, originally Wu Song was somewhat afraid of beans, only when following Ju'an could Wu Song get on the back of the bean horse, this time, from time to time, Wu Song made "hiss" sounds, fortunately, the place was not far away.

After arriving at the place, Ju An still wanted to talk first, Wang Fan took over the Remington rifle and said: "You tell Lao Si about it, I played with guns at home and knew how to use them, give me the bullets."

He handed Wang Fan a five-shot clip, then reminded Wu Ming that no matter what, the muzzle should never be pointed at people, regardless of whether or not you're sure there's a bullet inside.

Then he loaded bullets into the left wheel, fired a few shots, reloaded and handed it over to Wu Ming.

He turned his face and saw Wang Fan opening the rifle's cartridge case, loading bullets into the magazine. He then said to Wang Fan, "You're quite skilled, this is a very familiar move."

Wang Fan smiled and said: "When I was a kid, I often went to shoot targets with my grandfather."

"Ha! I forgot that both of your family's old men have a military background, so it's no surprise you know how to use a gun."

The two guys played for a while, Wang Fan started playing with the M4, Wu Ming scanned a few rounds and then lost interest in the M4, picked up the rifle and had a great time.

When Wang Fan finished wasting the M4 bullets, the empty M4 flew into Ju An's arms. Wang Fan snatched the pistol from Ju An's hand. The scene was then: Ju An sadly hugged the M4, with Wu Song sitting next to him, watching the two guys shoot targets. In his heart, he secretly cursed, fortunately, none of the guns in Wang Fan's hands were fully automatic, or else it would have cost thousands of dollars to compensate for Wang Fan's recklessness.

Holding an M4, I was bored watching these two guys play. After they switched guns and continued playing, Wu Ming still held onto his revolver, rolling around on the ground while shooting. He seemed to be experiencing what he saw on TV - the glorious image of the Eighth Route Army. But he was deeply despised by Ju An: "You can't even roll on the ground smoothly, and you call yourself the Eighth Route Army? You're just a fake army."

It was easy to wait for the two guys to have fun, and Ju An immediately took them back home. Once they arrived home, he found two fishing rods for the two guys and set off to go fishing by the pond.

Sat down on the chair by the pond, quickly put on the bait, and with a flick of the rod, the hook fell steadily into the water. The pond is now bustling, watching the ducks and geese swimming freely in the distance. The ducks occasionally dipped their heads into the water to catch small fish. There were also enthusiastic welcomes for Hu An and another flower dog, Hu An pulled his cowboy hat over his face and said, "Today it's finally my turn to take a rest."

After a short nap, Wang Fan and Wu Ming had already caught quite a few fish, but unfortunately none of them were longer than the length of their palms. Juzhuan himself cast his line several times afterwards, but still didn't catch any big fish, which made him feel somewhat unenthusiastic, so he thought about taking another nap. Just then, a fluffy black hand reached out and immediately startled him awake, after which he discovered that Wu Song had caught some grasshoppers and was eating them, carelessly pinching one that was crawling towards Juzhuan's eyes.

The little black hand of the residence pushed open Wu Song's, touched Wu Song's little monkey head and sighed: "It's really not in vain to raise you, eating meat can still think of me".

After fishing for a while, seeing that it was getting late, they packed up their gear and prepared to head back. Wang Fan and Wu Ming still wanted to bring all the small fish they had caught back with them, calling it the fruits of their labor.

"Last time your senior brother Liu Chao came over and caught a big fish of over ten kilograms, what's wrong with you?"

Hit two guys and then took the small fish that had been hooked, directly to feed the ducks, only then did they pack up their things and head back to prepare for dinner.
