Chapter 127: Living in Peace and Purity of Blood

Chapter 127: Living in Peace and Observing the Pure Blood (Three Updates Today)

Early in the morning, when An opened her eyes, Jasmine had already gone to the scene. After washing and dressing herself, An ate breakfast while opening her laptop and going online. She checked her classmates' messages, but there was nothing important, just nonsense. An then closed QQ and dialed Brad's number.

"This is Brad, how are you?"

"Hi, I'm An. We met at the horse racing track yesterday. I was thinking of visiting your stable today to see if you have time."

Brad laughed and said: "Have you really decided to buy a racehorse? Today I'm also heading back, my stud farm is not far away, it's just tens of minutes outside the city."

"En, I've decided. I'll buy a horse like this one and get familiar with it first. After all, I don't know anything about horses. Having a horse in hand to slowly get used to it, I think I'll go take a look at your place first," Ju An said with a smile.

"Well, welcome! Where are you now? Why don't you come to the racecourse? It's just right that we go to my stable together. I'm packing up things now." Brad replied.

"Alright, I'll go over there in a bit, it'll take about half an hour. When I arrive, I'll give you a call." The two of them bid each other farewell before Jū ān hung up the phone. They finished their breakfast, wiped their hands clean, stood up, patted themselves down to make sure they had everything, and then left the hotel. After hailing a taxi, it didn't take long for them to arrive at the racetrack. At the entrance, Jū ān gave Brad a call, and following his instructions, he made his way to the staff entrance at the back of the track. Old Brad was already waiting by the door. Brad accompanied Jū to register at the entrance, where the security guard asked him a few questions before letting him through.

Arrived at the horse stable, saw a few people busy. Have already driven the speeding train onto the trailer and closed the door.

Following him, Ju An watched Brad exchange something with a woman in her 40s. After listening for a while, he knew that the woman was a veterinarian at the racetrack and was discussing the situation of the speeding train with Brad. Looking at the smile on Brad's face, Ju An guessed that the situation must be good.

After the two men finished speaking, Brad said to Ju An, "Nothing's wrong, let's go back." Then he took Ju An and a Mexican man in his 30s with a fierce face into the car. Brad followed Ju An to the back seat of the pickup truck, and the Mexican driver drove out of the racetrack. When they left the gate of the racetrack, Brad introduced him, and Ju An knew that this Mexican man was Sanchez, the horse trainer at Brad's stable, who had been with Brad for over a decade. All the horses in his stable were trained by Brad.

Looking at the Mexican man driving in front, who didn't say a word. Juren thought that if he had to act like a gangster, it would be quite convincing, but as for being a horse trainer, it couldn't be seen.

All the way, Brad continued to chat with him, and time passed quickly. The car drove out of Los Angeles and headed towards a small hillside, driving for a while before arriving at Brad's horse farm.

Brad had just gotten out of the car when a black dog came bounding over to him, wagging its tail. Brad petted the dog's head and said a couple of words to it, and the excited dog finally calmed down as Gu An got out of the car. The black dog went over to sniff at Gu An, but quickly lost interest and continued to wag its tail as it circled around Brad.

Upon hearing the noise outside, another old man emerged from the house, not young anymore, accompanied by two Mexican boys. Together they helped pull out the speedy train from the trailer. As soon as it was on the ground, the speedy train started jumping around non-stop, wearing a mosquito net and blue bandages on all four legs, completely unlike its elegant appearance in the stable yesterday.

Finally, it was Sanchez with a ferocious face who led the reins, constantly whispering something in his ear, and the speeding train slowly calmed down before being led towards Ma Gou.

Brad looked at Ju An with satisfaction and said, "This is a lively little guy. Purebred horses are like this. As soon as they enter the horse stable, they become very quiet. Once on the track, they immediately get excited. When they start running, even professional riders have to run dozens of meters away before they can stop them. Every purebred horse is extremely sensitive."

As Brad introduced, Ju An followed him to the stable. When they arrived at the stable, Ju An saw that the entire stable was made of wood and had turned dark with age. Inside, thirty or forty horses were lined up neatly on both sides of the passageway. Even in the scorching sun at noon, the stable looked very dim.

Brad explained, "This horse has been using this stable since my father built it. I didn't change to new equipment because I think this kind of stable is the most suitable for horses. Although it looks old-fashioned, if you observe carefully, you'll find that it's better than those fancy stables."

Yu An listened and followed Brad's pointing direction to observe, indeed, each horse's compartment had a curved wooden board, and the floor was also paved with flooring. Although it was a bit old, it was very clean. Each of the horses inside was wearing clothes, and after looking at several, I found that the colors of the clothes were not exactly the same either.

Brad pointed to a row of horses and said, "This row is all boarded by others, they are very good horses, their owners come back to the ranch every now and then to ride them for two laps, we just take care of them, you can take a look." After finishing speaking, he walked up to the chestnut horse, patted its head, and said to Ju An, "This one is boarded by someone else, it has won two small competitions on the track, it's the best horse here. Its owner bought it for over $800,000 at the time, unfortunately, it hasn't been on the track again."

Ju An's hand gently stroked the white star on the horse's forehead, feeling its soft and silky coat, the horse was indeed well-groomed.

Brad led the speedy train into the stable and closed the door, then called out. Sanchez walked over and Brad explained to Juan, "Aside from that speedy train, you can get familiar with my own horses. Sanchez knows each one well and can give you a general idea of their situation."

Three people began to look at the horses, and when they came in front of one horse, Sanchez would explain it one by one. However, this fierce-looking old Mexican only spoke Spanish, so Juan listened with a dazed expression, waiting for Brad to translate, which was really tiring.

After watching several horses, Ju An couldn't help but admire this fierce old Mexican. For each horse, he could say in detail its age, temperament, height, weight, and approximate speed, all without hesitation or error. He was indeed a skilled horse trainer.

Basically, I've seen a lot of them, and actually, every horse looks very beautiful, and they're all well-groomed. Especially with the fly-repellent clothing on their bodies, it makes them look just like the knights' steeds in the movies.

First, rule out those over three years old. Although Brad explained that a purebred horse typically reaches maturity at four years old, who knows if those over three have already matured? Once they've matured, there's not much room for improvement. The younger ones are more promising. Thinking about tomorrow's competition, the two-year-olds were also ruled out. That left only choosing between the slightly older two-year-olds. According to Brad's introduction, he recommended three two-year-old horses: one chestnut and two green.

"Ah! These two are both offspring of the Flying Express's sire, and they're in great shape. Although they're a bit pricey, if you raise them for another year, who knows, maybe they'll be almost as good as the Flying Express. If you want one, I can sell you one - just one." Brad said to Ju An.

Ju An looked at the three horses and was very satisfied with each one, but he really couldn't make up his mind, so he said: "Each horse is not bad, let's look at the rest of the horses before we decide."

Bulaode had no choice but to bring Ju'an along, continuing down to the last horse stall. When they got there, Ju'an suddenly discovered a small black horse that looked like it was over a year old, but didn't have any clothes on its body. He curiously asked: "Why doesn't this horse have a mosquito-repellent coat?"

Brad said: "This horse is actually two years old and has not fully grown due to physical reasons."

"That must be some kind of illness, it's a bit small." Ju An said, looking at the black horse.

Brad then asked a question in Spanish, and Sanchez replied at length. Brad turned to Gu An and said: "It's not because of illness, but because it developed late. In fact, this horse has a tenacious temperament and doesn't run for its life. Unfortunately, its body is a bit short, so its stride isn't as good as that of taller horses, which means its overall speed will be slightly worse. If it develops well, it's definitely a good horse."

Jū ān looked at the black horse staying in the stable, stretched out his hand to touch the horse's nose, the black horse raised its neck, then stuck its head out. Jū ān touched the horse's nose, feeling that the hair was not as smooth as other horses, and it seemed that the grooming was not done with much care.

As Sanchez finished speaking, Brad explained: "This little guy is a loner and doesn't get along with any of the other horses. His only friend is that black goat over there." He pointed to the small goat tied up by the back door. "Every time he comes out of his stall, he'll nuzzle the goat with his head, and when he comes back, he'll do it again."

This guy is exactly the horse I'm looking for, isn't he? His poor development isn't a problem for me, and he can develop well in space before coming out again. With his arrogant personality, which of the legendary top-quality horses isn't arrogant? This horse is simply tailor-made for me!

Looking at the black horse, touching its slightly coarse hair, I like it more and more.
