Chapter no. 47 - Kita, Hikaru, Riku & Toru

Nichisankoku. Planet of the Wastelands. Nothing but sand rocks where almost no one lives, which is perhaps why evil chose this place, but fear not, our heroes have not delayed and are now exploring every part of this arid wasteland. Azazel is near...

"All right, this is where we'll spend the night. Tomorrow, we'll climb those rocks. Get a good night's sleep, whatever is out there, I don't feel good about it. Hopefully we'll still be safe here. We have the advantage of surprise, at least I hope our enemy doesn't know about us."

Fuyu was right. We were about five kilometers from the rocks. We had been wandering aimlessly for three days, and perhaps had begun to doubt a little that there was such a thing as orange rocks. And now they're here. Giant steep rocky peaks looming under a dark blue sky. Perhaps I should call them mountains rather than rocks. We're tired. Wandering is hard, especially with the relentless sun beating down on you all day. I sit and look at the stars for a while. It's amazing how you find a different constellation on every planet. I also stargazed on Gruzvita the night before I left. They were beautiful and bright. Here the stars were very close. You could see the pink and purple milky way and the three moons. Are the stars symbols of the planets that are here? Are these the lands to which we hold the key? Is it possible that my parents are out there somewhere? If they live at all.

"Oh, I wish I knew someone who knew them..." I muttered softly.

My gaze traveled down to the rocks. It was too dark near them, and perhaps even the stars wouldn't shine there. I frowned worriedly and went to sleep instead.

  Dream

I was walking through nothingness. Probably like every time before my stupid subconscious formulates a dream. And as if on cue, I had a door in front of me. A plain wooden door with a brass handle. I grabbed it and opened the door. I found myself in a room full of books. It was my father's good old library. This time I was in the position of a third person looking at my memory of my dad, faceless, teaching me the rules of magic, despite the fact that I could barely speak. It was nice to hear my father laugh. I wish I could have seen my father's laughter.

"That's my favorite memory. ' Said an unfamiliar voice beside me.

I turn my head and my fire dragon is standing next to me.

"You?! What are you doing here? And how do I hear you?!" I started to spout questions at the poor guy.

He just sighed and curled his tail. He was much smaller and cuter than when I summoned him. He's some kind of small version of what appears in my spells I decided.

"We're all here." Said another voice.

It was my water dragon rushing towards me along with the others. They were really cute.

"We are a part of you. We know your memories, wishes, dreams and feelings. We share it all with you." Now my earth dragon spoke.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

I sat down on the ground. This was something I had no idea he shared with me.

"So I can talk to you outside of the dream?"

"Not yet. Right now you can only hear us in your own dreams." He answered me again.

  I sighed sadly.

"But Iruka, you haven't seen or heard us in your dreams so far. Your power is growing, but you must give it time. You know our power could hurt you." The firebender said worriedly.

"Yes I know..." And I lowered my gaze.

"Do you have any names at all?"

They all shook their heads in unison. I put on my hard-thinking face and tried to think of the best names for them.

"Are any of you even girls? I just....don't know the anatomy of dragons...Hehe." I scratched the back of my neck and grimaced.

The air dragon raised her hand.

  "I am."

As soon as she spoke, it was obvious. I couldn't have been more embarrassed really...

"I got it! You, my air princess, will be Kita."

"I like that. I like that a lot." She smiled.

"You, my firebrand, will be Hikaru."

"That sounds pretty hot." He replied, wagging his tail like a four-legged pet.

"I've come up with the name Riku for the earth dragon and Toru for the water dragon. I hope you like it."

  "They're wonderful." Said Riku.

  "I agree." Toru chuckled.

I was happy that they liked my names. I turned back to my memory. I watched the dream like a movie. Suddenly, I noticed something. On the wall was a large sign painted on dark wood. I never noticed it. In my dreams I was rarely third person and it never, as they say, hit me in the eyes. Now, somehow, it began to fascinate me. I was approaching the sign. It was two hearts. One was black and the other was gold upside down. What a sign.

"Who does it belong to?" I asked aloud.

  "We don't know." Kita replied

I suddenly woke up. Someone was gently groping me. There was light everywhere, but the sun was being blocked by someone above me. I looked into the violet eyes and immediately realized who it was.

"Sorry, Fuyu said to wake you up. We need to get going. There's more and more evil around those rocks."

"It's okay , Shika." I say and scramble up onto my elbows at least.

I see Fuyu and Haru waking up the others. I look at the orange rocks. Dark blue clouds have gathered around them. That alone sends shivers down my spine.

  ?????????????

We arrived just before the rocks. Now we have to climb.

"I think all those minotaur beasts are hiding up there in the rocks. I want to tell you one thing, if we tell you to run, you'll run. Is that clear?!" Fuyu tightened his grip.

He was talking directly to the three of us. I looked around at my friends. I don't need to read minds, their response was the same.

"Don't worry. We're here as a team. We're apprentices. Mages, and we want to save the world. If we are to fall, we must fall together. We are one family." I'll say it.

All the Naruno brothers look at me with a look of wonder on their faces. It's as if they've dropped bees, while their expressions are very stony and confident to me. No one, not even that devil Fuyu, will take away my decision. We're family and we have to stick together. I don't want to watch my friends die, so I'll give it my all, even if it costs me my life. I've only just stepped into this magical world and I don't know everything for sure, but today everyone will get a taste of the power of the dragon guardian. Azazel, no matter who you are, I will not lose to you.

  "All right, let's go."

Meanwhile, on top of the rocks

  "Sir, they're here..."

"Yes yes, I know." A hooded man interrupts him.

  The minotaur looks on, puzzled.

  "But how sir?"

"I'm Azazel, you stupid ox. "

"But I am a bull, my lord."

"Bunch of idiots..." The druid sighs.

"Taurus, take care of them, but the little brown-haired one, let me. I have a feeling he'll be fun." And smiles devilishly.

"Yes, sir." The bull replies and walks away.

"So you're going to threaten me. I accept your challenge well." The druid says to himself and pulls back his hood.
