They’ve been in there for a solid 10 minutes. How long does it take to put those things on?
Elanore sat outside of a small dressing room tapping her foot. She could hear the struggling voice of Naela, complaining about the fit. Yet the clerk would have no arguments. For someone who was supposed to be a regular human, she didn’t seem to mind testing her luck with a wyvern.
Nonetheless, the two of them came out soon after, and Elanore could only cheer from the bench she sat on.
“Yes! It was as I thought! Maids are justice!”
The vampire grinned and stared at Naela’s outfit. Her body was covered with a black dress with white seams, and there was a white apron fixed to the uniform. The wyvern had finally hidden her scales now that she was in a new set of clothes. The only parts of her old self remaining were the two small horns on her head and the large scaly tail behind her.
Naela had an unexpected reaction to Elanore’s musings. The wyvern blushed in her new outfit, her cheeks turning pink as her eyes. “What do you think, mistress?”
Ella’s eyes widened, her heart not expecting the cuteness attack. She rushed up to the wyvern servant and grabbed onto her wrists. “You look amazing! I mean, I knew you were already good looking, but there is nothing better than seeing an attractive girl in a maid outfit. It’s literally one of the laws of the universe.”
The store clerk raised an eyebrow as Naela looked away. Helena sighed. “This kind of thing is not really permitted under Synnaria, but I am glad that my work was able to bring two people a little closer together.”
“What kind of thing are you talking about?” Ella asked.
Naela stopped Helena from answering. “I think this human simply has the wrong idea. I was just flustered because I never wore clothes before. It feels more awkward than simply running around the forest in complete nudity.”
Ella didn’t comment on the wyvern’s habit of exhibitionism. Instead, she performed her usual [Inspect] on the maid outfit.
Ooh, this is a very fancy place indeed.
Helena stopped any of the vampire’s further musings. “So I take it that you approve of this outfit?”
The vampire nodded.
“Good, if you still want me to make an outfit for you, I will need specifications. There is also the matter of payment. You said that you have mana core’s right? There is a shop that will buy them here. It’s an enchanting place…”
Stolen story; please report.
Elanore piped up at the word enchanting. “I would like to visit this place immediately!”
Helena chuckled. “I definitely expected this reaction.” She walked back to her counter, lifting up the wooden hatch once more and stepping behind it. “I can draw you a map in order to get there. It’s only a few blocks away from this place. This one will be completely on the house, and if you come back, I will provide you with another gift for services rendered.”

Elanore looked at a pouting Naela as the two of the walked, following the map in the vampire witch’s hand.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“Nothing’s wrong with me, mistress. In fact, I am feeling fine. To be so quickly forgotten about because of an enchanting shop is not a problem at all.”
Elanore looked to her cauldron for help.
Pot answered with a flap of his wings and spoke slowly. “Mistress, this one I will not pretend to understand. As a lowly cauldron, I couldn’t comprehend the jealousy of others.”
Jealousy? Elanore looked to the red, pouty, and cute face of the wyvern.
“Forget about it,” Naela said, speeding up her footsteps towards the new shop.
Elanore watched the wyvern maid walk faster away from her, and she gripped her chest. For some strange reason, the vampire’s heart decided to act up as if she was having another energy drink induced heart attack. She took a deep breath and expelled all of the air from her lungs. Unfortunately for her, she had no time to linger on the feelings of Laela. As much as she wanted to, the wyvern already pushed open the door to the next store.
This one sparked much more awe as Ella walked inside. There were rows and rows of book shelves, and the person inside didn’t so much as flinch from the floating pot near Elanore’s head.
This clerk grinned and pushed up her glasses. “My, my, my, a wyvern and a vampire enter my store. What’s more, this little vampire is beyond the comprehension of my glasses.”
Elanore tilted her head, the witch hat above her flopping around from the movement. The girl in front of the vampire exuded an aura of mystique, and she was a fellow student of the cloth. The vampire’s eyes sparkled at sighting another witch hat other than her own. This one was big and black with a white mammoth on the front, yet it was still dwarfed by the size of Ella’s.
The clerk leaned over the counter sensually on her elbow. She used her other hand to pull out a long and orange pipe. She twisted the pipe with her thumb like a seasoned pipe arts user. With a small flick of the woman’s wrist, the end ignited, and she took a deep inhalation.
She blew out a large plume of orange and black smoke, but Elanore was most surprised when it formed into a mammoth and charged towards her face. The vampire didn’t so much as cough when the smoke scattered around her head, and the woman grinned.
“Welcome to The Enchanted Tusk. I am Morgana...May I ask who you are?”
“I am called Elanore or Ella, and I am the strongest vampire witch. Not only that, but I have the biggest hat you will find in these parts.”
Morgana chuckled in response to the pink-haired girl’s introduction. “Now that we are aquainted, can you please inform me as to why my inspection glasses don’t work on you?”
Elanore focused on the witch’s face, but the vampire didn’t find any signs of malpractice. Morgana had a face of genuine curiousity. One of longing for the unknown and a history of fixations. I guess one of those fixations led her to start smoking…
[Inspect]
“Well, miss Morgana...Unfortunately for you, it seems that your glasses won’t be of use to measure anyone of passing skill.”
Morgana didn’t take Ella’s words as an insult. Instead, she simply nodded. “I see. Then that means, you are someone truly spectacular.”
