Crow's eyes widened, quickly looking around to notice he was the only one raising his hand, even Aya was giving him a pitying smile.
Memories ran through Crow's mind, thinking of his 1st day, and the "secret" that Lóa had told him.
'To have such great power and not be a Blessed or be given Blessings from a God or Goddess... maybe it is possible,' he mused to himself.
Clearing his mind, Crow smiled as he answered, "You said the Concepts exist all around us and that Gods are only the representatives. If that's the case, is it not possible for us to represent ourselves to the Concepts?"
Collective gasps rang out through the classroom, with some even whispering amongst each other of blasphemy.
Yet Lucus only creased his eyes with a smile, "Well said, young man. What is your name?"
The class's whispers halted as they craned their necks to take a good look at this classmate of theirs who had caught Master Lucus' attention.
"My name's Crow," he answered.
"Crow." Lucus repeated as if savoring a fine wine with a nod of his head, "You're not from around here, are you?"
Crow's eyes slightly widened, yet he tried to play it cool, "Is it that obvious, sir?"
Lucus chuckled, "People around here have a high respect for the Gods, particularly the Goddess of this land, Sylva."
Lucus then beckoned with his hand, "Come, Crow."
If before the class was intrigued, now they were flabbergasted, many twisting their teeth in envy.
Steadily, Crow arose from his seat and made his way down to the front of the classroom.
As he drew nearer, Crow felt an aura similar to Raz and N0r's, yet weaker and more... rejuvenative.
He tried to analyze the Lucus' stats as he approached, yet it turned out as expected.

___
Crow couldn't help but curse to himself, 'Damn, nothing shows again? Does that make him near the same level as Nor and the old man?'
However, his thought would be interrupted as Lucus spoke to the class once more, "Does anyone know how a God chooses someone to bless?"
Hands rose up, with Lucus picking a random girl.
This girl was obviously shy as she tripped on her words "B-based on t-talent, a-a-affinity for a c-concept, and th-their... p-personality."
Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
Lucus smiled at this, "Yes, well done!"
Silent tears streamed from the girl's eyes as she slightly pumped her fist with a slight smile.
Lucus then looked back towards Crow, "You seem to not know your Concept affinity, seeing as you know so little about the Gods."
His eyes held an unreadable gaze as he glanced at the grey robes, which Crow noticed.
After analyzing Crow for some time, Lucus then reached into his pocket, "Which is why I have this!" he then whipped out a translucent orb about the size of a cantaloupe.
"Most of you here have already gotten your Concept affinity checked, and thus know what God or Goddess you will strive to serve in the future," Lucus spoke to the class with a smile as nearly all students nodded their heads in response.
He then gave Crow a glance, "But not all of us have that opportunity."
The class watched with bated breath as Lucus held the orb for Crow.
Crow stood there, looking at his own reflection in the orb.
Thoughts swirled in his mind as he placed his right palm squarely on the orb, 'The power attained from the Gods? The power from those who see themselves as above me? The power from those who favor one group above all else and call them Blessed? The power of those who trapped me in this damn world?"
A creamy milk white cloud continued to flow through the orb as Crow's mind wandered before an alarming sound rang out.
CRKKK
Yet, despite the sound, there wasn't a single crack on the orb as Crow finally lifted his hand to see no reaction.
A fatigued smile spread across his face as he looked at the man, a head taller than him, "Thank you for this opportunity, Mr. Lucus. It seems I... unfortunately, lack talent."
The class was slightly taken aback by the anti-climactic ending, watching as Crow began walking back to his seat, before a voice called out to him, "Wait."
Crow stopped and turned in confusion before he saw an item hurled at him.
He stuck out a hand and quickly caught the item, giving a confused look down at his hands to see that the item was a book.
Lucus's eyes slightly widened as he mused, 'Impressive reactions and seems to have a robust physique.'
He then came up and patted Crow on the shoulder, "Keep your head up, young man. There's more than 1 way to serve the Goddess. I hope you're able to put that history book's knowledge to good use."
Crow gave a polite nod, "Thank you, sir! I'll do my best."
Master Lucus just gave a mysterious smile as he put his arms behind his back, "Don't mention it, just consider it... repaying a favor."
Questions raced through Crow's mind before he silently nodded his head and returned to his seat.
After Crow returned to his seat, the rest of the class seemed to be shooting envious glares at him, while Aya just gave him a thumbs up with a goofily forced smile.
Crow couldn't help but chuckle as he whispered to her, "How are you jealous when your master is literally the Headmaster?"
Aya pouted as she crossed her arms and whisper-shouted back, "Shut up, you're jealous!"
The rest of the class went on normally, with Crow and the class's overall worldview being expanded.

[Later That Afternoon...]
A crowd of students could be seen forming a line in the cafeteria, with many students walking to and fro with trays in their hands, and some even studying with books at the table as they ate.
At one particular table in the cafeteria, Crow sat across from Aya as the pair chatted as they munched on some steak.
Crow had the book that Lucus had given him open and in front of him on the table as Aya was talking to herself as she ate, "No fair... how come you're the only one who got a gift from the legendary Master Lucus?"
Crow rolled his eyes at this as he continued to peruse the text, "Can't you just go and get the same thing from your teacher?"
Aya pouted as she crossed her arms and leaned back in her seat, "It's not the same."
Crow chuckled at this before he looked back down and furrowed his brows at the text in front of him, "The fuk is this text?"
This caught Aya's attention as she leaned forward, "Hmm? Didn't Lucus say it was just a history book?"
Crow nodded his head as he turned the book to face her, "Yeah... but it's weird, there's strange symbols and even pictures of the human body with illustrations going through it."
Aya smirked as she glanced down at the book.
Her eyes traced throughout the book before the smile on her face slowly disappeared, and her eyes gradually widened.
She then shot up from her seat.
Before Crow could ask what was going on, Aya picked up the book with 1 arm and took his hand with the other, "Come with me, quickly!"

[10 Minutes Later...]
After 10 minutes of running down hallways and narrowly avoiding bumping into students and teachers alike, the pair finally made their way to a door.
Aya hadn't answered Crow's questions the whole way here despite his pestering, so now he asked once more, "Will you finally tell me what's goin-"
"Shhhh!!" Aya put her finger to her mouth and shushed, before she turned and placed her hand on the door, causing a faint light to shine before it opened with a click.
She then pulled the Crow into the room, causing the door to shut behind them.
Once inside, Crow looked around and let out a low whistle, 'This sure beats my room.'
To call the interior massive would be an understatement.
The hallway was wide enough to allow space for the walk-in kitchen, with a large round table in the dining area.
Crow also saw more doors, hinting at the space being much larger.
After locking the door, Aya looked at the Crow with a fanatic face, causing him to back up.
A smile then arose on his face, "Aya, at least take me out to dinne-"
PAK
A sharp slap rang out as Crow lay on the floor holding his face.
"Hmpph, you wish, idiot, and you'd be the one taking me to dinner. Also, that's not a history book." Aya quietly growled with a pout as she pointed at the book in her hands.
Crow sat up from the floor while massaging his face, "Uhh... what is it then?"
Aya opened the book, pointing to the human model on the page, "It's a Grimoire."
