We chatted a bit more and I told Azu what I did to her home and lab. She thanked me for spatially locking it and went home for the first time in nearly 3 millennia. She did state that she will be moving both her house and lab out of Mishaspire.

  A statue of a gorgeous vixen was left. Being frozen didn’t diminish her allure. Maybe I’m not that unlucky. Having a talented idol fall for you isn’t something anyone can claim. This talented idol would devour me the moment I let her out though.

  She had grown a lot since I met her. Will she abandon me once she outgrows me? Does that even matter? I promised to prioritize her and I try to keep my ego out of this.

  Is this the correct thing? I’m terrible at relationships, that’s why I was opposed to it at first. I’m happy that it didn’t work out as I wanted but… is what I’m doing correct? Does Giana deserve this, or does she deserve better?

  Noelle told me to go off on what Giana thinks. But what if she thinks wrongly about me. I’ve been hatching a plan behind her back because I know she would be opposed to it. I am 100% sure that it’s something she needs but doesn’t want.

  How would I break it to her? What’s more important? The ‘need’ or ‘want’? Cold hard logic would state ‘need’ is more important, but then emotions come in and state ‘want’. In the end, both would affect me the same way, but it makes a big difference for her.

  My resolve needs to be firm if I want to set forth this plan. And it’s very important that I am honest to myself. What do I truly feel about Giana? I closed my eyes and leaned backward.

  A feeling of it being too good to be true and not wanting to wake from this pleasant dream eh?

  My feelings had been reaffirmed. I would make sure to protect the woman that makes me feel this way to my dying breath, be it a god or a demon. I will go 9t on their ass and clear the way for her so she can live whatever life she wants. Some obstacles and enemies need to be removed for that, though.

  I exhaled and would put my tails to work but first…

  Time to get devoured.

  The frost broke and revealed a horny vixen.

  A nightmare. It was the scene where I was getting devoured by the fairies. The obnoxious buzzing sounds, the sounds of their teeth biting through m flesh and crunching bones, the psychotic laughter and the despair i felt all went through me.

  I shot up, sweating. It was nighttime, and Giana was sleeping next to me, naked. She was quite tired from that battle and everything that happened that day, so she only ‘devoured’ me for 4 hours.

  I ran my hand through her blonde hair with pink highlights. Giana groaned in her sleep and rolled over.

  Heh, nice buttcheeks.

  I covered her body with my tails who had gotten put to work, and started writing a paper which would help Selina lift the [Gula] and [Acedia] curse.

  It didn’t take long to realize that they were nearly identical except for 4 regions, of which 1 would hold the intent. It might be possible for her to lift the curses on Greg and Raishin if the other curses have a similar trend!

  What would Raishin and Greg be like after these curses are gone? They had such a big effect on me. What if their absence makes Raishin normal around women and Greg able to connect with people!

  If that's the case, I shouldn't have let that magic ping of Vertoast escape but… that's not my fight, I'll be kill-stealing Azu's target.

  We don't have a clear enemy like protagonists in games and movies have, but Vertoast could be categorized as one. Our lives would become way better after dealing with her bullshit. Even tomato goddess can't be seen as a clear villain. She is a nuisance, but our lives don't get much better after she is defeated. Who is our endboss?

  I had jokingly named myself the endboss, but do we even have one?

  The monkey that attacked Hourai? Maybe? He must be as strong as our mothers, so that could be it but… Neia suggested that Hourai was in his way, removing Hourai from its original spot might have been a subgoal.

  Was he working with the fairies, and a big bad fairy is the endboss? I'd be quite screwed if that's the case.

  Or is our endboss something more abstract. Like finding a quiet life without problems or the rules and systems this world operates on? Can we even beat that? No matter how overpowered we become, beating that will be impossible.

  In the end, the endboss doesn't matter right now, as none of us are prepared. If a somewhat competent mid level deity appears today and wants to kill us, we’d all die, besides Giana.

  If a deity falls in love with Giana, Noelle or Yvonne, and they want to whisk them away, there is nothing we could do. We're quite incompetent on a mythical scale, which is fine because we're fresh out of our diapers but using that as an excuse is not going to make our lives better.

  My tails finished, and one started to write the paper as my hands had stopped moving.

  Selina or Azu will be able to lift these curses with this paper. I'll have Giana observe so she can do the same in the future.

  I wonder what the rest has found. Rai Shin seems to have done something beneficial to the Misha, of course, most is thanks to Silk as she had to translate his nonsense into something the Misha can use. Melody had an interesting idea, and I hope it worked out for her.

  Gerda had probably spent all this time in the library. He might have found something or got distracted and found nothing. It's a hit or miss with him if a library is involved.

  I hope that lifting the curses on Greg makes him open up. I can't see this going well in the long run if he keeps it up like this. I also feel really bad for Yvonne. I might have to chat with her before Greg’s curse gets lifted, as he might act differently, which may make or break Yvonne’s attraction to him.

  Life as a leader is so hard…

  Something moved between my tails, and a sleepy face popped up.

  “What is hard?”

  Nothing, sleep some more. It's still early.

  The sleepyhead nodded and disappeared back into my tails.

  Scenarios played off in my head on what might have happened if I never gotten these curses. Nothing useful came up. I took out Nilah and brushed her fur. Time passed and Giana rolled over again. Nilah jumped out of my hands and bit her in her butt

  “Ouch! Nilah!” Giana got up and started chasing down Nilah.

  Bunch of clowns.

  They were making a mess, but it was quite funny. My silly friends might be responsible for keeping me sane.

  Deca, dress up. I finished the paper on the curses, let's have Selina or Azu lift them.

  “Oh, that was fast!” Giana failed to evade Nilah’s tackle and got taken down. Her tails flailed, and she took down some furniture with her. “Hey Nilah!”

  By the way… our tails can be used to block attacks and physical offense. They are not as tough as Misha hats, but they get treated the same.

  Giana gave her tails a good look. “Is that why 2 of your tails were injured?”

  Yeah, just don't try to block a divine energy-powered nuke, but they'll be fine otherwise.

  Nilah was still harassing Giana, so she used [Transform] to change.

  C’mere!

  Nilah leaped at me and turned into a hat after I transformed.

  “I wish that Nilah would accept me…”

  She needs more time.

  The city acted as if nothing had happened the day before, which is partly true due to my [Illusionary Dagger]. A familiar figure was standing in front of Azu's door however.

  “Hey Selina, are you here to see Azu…Ayaru too?”

  Selina turned around and seemed sleep-deprived. “That is correct, but she won't open up.”

  I rang the doorbell.

  Athena crossed her arms and gave me a judging stare. “Minerva, really?”

  “Maybe she's not home?”

  I unlocked her door with [Azure Spear] and kicked in the door.

  Selina, can you wait outside for a bit?

  I didn't wait for her response and went inside with Giana. It was faint, but there was a trace of Azu being home. We went to her bedroom and saw the most disgraceful sleeping posture ever.

  I feel like a criminal… Deca can you wake her and fix her up? I will be waiting in the living room.

  “That is one funny pose, hey, I don't sleep like this, right?”

  Nope, you sleep with your butt sticking out. I will be downstairs.

  I relaxed on the couch until the two came down.

  “Good morning. Sorry that you had to see me like that.”

  Its the afternoon… I will get Selina. Give me a moment.

  I went outside and encountered a Misha, leaning on her catalyst, fast asleep. Did she also get hit by an [Acedia] curse?

  Hey Selina, wake up!

  “Ugh, my bad.” A mirror appeared in front of her. She gasped, used some strange creams and powders on her face, and nodded at the mirror after she was done.

  I wondered if her make-up would crack if I flicked something at it.

  “Ouch, where did that come from?”

  Dunno, let's go inside.

  Azu and Athena were talking when we entered.

  “Good afternoon, my name is Selina Silverspoon, the current headmaster of Mishaspire. I welcome you to the city.” Selina made a polite bow and showed off the patterns on her hat.

  “The name is Azu, what happened to Remi?”

  Azu seemed a bit hostile. Not surprising. Athena and Selina stared at me, though.

  Oh right! Haha, yeah, I might know more about this.

  I told Azu about that time when I burnt Witchaven to the ground.

  “Aww all for me?”

  Hey Giana, check on her. She sounds like a vixen…

  “So Remi and Bea are doing fine? That's good to hear. But Bea, that idiot thinks I'm dead? I’m not surprised…”

  Oh Remi once gave me this blue stone to contact her. I kinda forgot about it. She must have forgotten about me, so you might be a better choice.

  Azu accepted the blue teardrop I gave her and inspected it. “Oh, Remi and I used this to communicate, back in the day.”

  And with this, I've done all I could for the Misha. I will never bother you again after you lift our curses. You can do Misha stuff in peace.

  I got 3 disappointed and sad looks, and I didn't know why.

  Did I say something wrong?

  “Deca… it's the ‘I will never bother you again’ part… You can't just say that after you had such a big impact on this race…”

  Why not? They are strong enough not to need my help with Azu here and Azu, Remi and Selina should be enough of a force to either bring change or form a new faction. A man of another race has no place in this.

  “Can I leave you two alone with each other? I need to scold him.”

  Azu and Selina nodded, and I got dragged upstairs.

  Huh why? What did I do wrong?

  “How about you think about how they feel?”

  Relieved that they can solve their own problems now?

  “No? That's not what they're thinking at all! Try again.”

  Uhm they won't have to worry about someone invading their city, stealing information, and possibly burning their city down?

  Athena put her hands on her hips. “Are you even trying?”

  I am not a god, how am I supposed to know what they're feeling?

  “You know Azu, right?”

  I nodded.

  “Do you think that she would ve happy if you disappeared from her life?”

  Uhh, probably not.

  Athena smiled. “See? It's not that hard. If someone helped the 9t immensely and then says: My work here is done, I'm not needed anymore. What would you think?”

  Oh…

  It seems that I messed up. It wouldn't sit right with me if a person like that would just disappear.

  “Now go apologize to them!”

  We went back down, and the gazes were oppressive.

  I ehhh have seen the error in my ways. Will you accept an ice cream offering?

  “Deca… what exactly are you apologizing for and what will you do differently?”

  Hey did you do some sort of personality change or something?

  “Deca…”

  Uhm, I apologize for being shit.

  Athena started to give off an intimidating aura. I was wrong about the endbosses. Giana is the endboss.

  I mean, I'm sorry for being emotionally retarded and not realizing how you might feel. I will stay as involved as you two might need.

  Azu seemed very happy. “You're forgiven! I want cake ice cream!”

  What the fuck is cake ice cream?

  “Ice cream that tastes like cake!”

  Uhh strawberry cheesecake ice cream?

  The women got excited about this ice cream. Athena, Azu and Selina read the paper while I made a mountain of ice cream.

  I don't know about Selina, but Giana and Azu seem to have a limitless capacity for eating ice cream. Is this a female-only trait? I love ice cream, but not as much as they do. How mysterious.

  They got their ice cream, and I sat back and relaxed while I did nothing, and they would work it out. We would be done with Mishaspire after our curses get lifted. What should we do after?

  Someone used magic on me, and my reflex was to mess with it, but there were only allies in this room, so I let it slide. Azu was showing Selina and Athena how to apply my research paper, it seems. It took her 10 minutes to get [Gula] off me.

  “Wow, that really worked! Now that you two had a demonstration, you can get this [Acedia] off me!”

  Athena and Selina worked together and got the curse off Azu after 15 minutes. They all collapsed into the couch, exhausted, so I gave them another round of ice cream.

  Good job ladies! Just Raishin and Greg left!

  “Do you mind if we incorporate this paper into the curriculum on how to dispel curses?” Selina asked after storing it as if it were a national treasure.

  Sure, you can do whatever you want with it. How about you stay here, rest, and eat ice cream while I get the others?

  Athena reacted but didn't say anything.

  You can come with me if you want.

  She shook her head. “Thank you. I think I will rest a bit more. I will come running if you cause trouble, though!”

  Running? I could burn this place down 10 times over before you arrive!

  That seemed to be the incorrect answer, and I had to dodge a charm blast. “Just go before I decide to [Transform] back to a vixen!”

  I fled the scene and went to find Noelle first.
