  I wasn't sure if Giana could prevent that, but she is overpowered enough that she might. She started an unfamiliar song and had [Gas Bombs] form and explode.

  Azu… where is her hat? She was swinging a fan and whipping up storms and tidal waves. Today is a bad day for hydrophobic Misha.

  Oh Greg is screwed.

  Azu's fan… a magical weapon? Her hat? I knew that I could count on her!

  I recovered faster than I expected.

  Azu and Giana were working together. Azu used a skill similar to [Dimensional Sword] but with her fan. Giana boosted her [Dimensional Sword] with a song and again because she could freely control space.

  That's one nasty combo. Their water skills also had great compatibility. They might even become good friends.

  I did wonder what would happen if they would meet, but I worried about nothing.

  All the Misha in the surroundings just watched. They were witnessing the peak of magic.

  My tails normally conveyed images, ideas and concepts. I was full-on conversing with them now.

  It then told me clearly that the [Acedia] curse prevented me from thinking clearly and focusing, so it wasn't my fault. It also made me physically slower.

  So you're telling me that I've been going through my life in a nerfed state because of this curse?

  My tail crunched the numbers and finished almost immediately.

  What? Nerfed by 60%?! What the fuck!? What will happen if I get rid of [Gula]?

  My 5th tail almost instantly finished the calculations and the summary was that I would require less intake of nutrition, won't tire as fast and regain the stamina I should possess and that my magical processes would become as efficient as they should be.

  So [Acedia] made me a sloth making me physically and mentally slower and [Gula] is making me a glutton for food and energy? What the fuck?

  My 5th tail was putting up a performance that rivaled my 9th tail before I got [Acedia] off me. It was a bit scary. Selina seemed scared of me already. It did seem as if I was talking to my tail.

  “A…are you alright?”

  No… it seems that Vertoast has been a major obstacle in my life and I never knew. I want to turn her into Verash, but I will let the ladies have this win.

  My tails worked on [Hattrick for Noobs] and revised the [Hattrick] I recently finished while observing the battle.

  Azu was mowing down the clones with deadly accuracy and efficiency. She didn't need to bother with defending, as Giana was on it.

  Giana’s exploding [Gas Bombs] lacked power, but it did deal damage.

  I could easily discern the real body of Vertoast. It was an elaborate party trick. Giana will endure a lot of tutoring if she can't see through this.

  Azu gave a clone the most satisfying slap, with her fan, I've ever seen. It had the power of a [Meteor] and its magic circle was nearly identical to the [Meteor] she taught me.

  Giana trapped every clone in an enormous bubble and Azu used [Mistflower Field].

  I don't know about other Misha but if I had to vote to elevate 1 Misha to legendary status I'd vote for Azu.

  All the Vertoast clones got shredded and a magic ping went out from the main body. Giana missed it and it disappeared far north. Did Vertoast flee the continent? Either way, Giana needs more tutoring.

  The ladies returned, and I dodged Azu who dove at my tails. “Can't I get a reward for beating that Imposter?”

  Giana got closer. “I’m not a monster, you two have history. Go hug her Deca but hug me afterward.”

  It felt strange to hug a woman like Azu in front of Giana like this.

  “You were so cute and small when we last met, look at you all grown up and handsome!”

  She sounded happy, but she was crying. “I'm sorry I'm a mess, I missed you guys. Where are Raishin, Greg and Ted?”

  We separated and Giana claimed her hug.

  Raishin and Greg are somewhere in Mishaspire. Ted… died 10 years ago…

  “Oh no… I…I'm sorry that I couldn't help…”

  I broke an illusion layer, created an [Illusionary Dagger] and returned the city to how I remembered and then used [Elgard Overload] to make it reality. It also caused the Misha in the library to forget what happened, besides Selina.

  Uhh a lot happened, this might not be the best time to catch up, but welcome back.

  We committed more information theft, and Giana used her social skills to chat with Azu. I was a bit too awkward because besides asking her what she had been up to, I didn’t have many other questions.

  We had made it home without any problems and Giana was rolling round and playing in my tails like spoiled child. While Azu was keeping her composure, even thoug h I could see she wanted to do so too. She always liked fluffy things.

  Heh, so immature.

  I got hit by charm magic as retaliation.

  “How about he makes us some ice cream Deca? You can blast him too Azu!”

  They both smiled, and I felt outnumbered. I thought that Giana was supposed to always take my side!

  I placated the brainwash magic users by treating them to mountains of ice cream. Maybe I can tame them with ice cream!

  They wanted to sit in my tails, but I hid them.

  That’s going too far! Pushing me around and then expecting to play with my tails with ice cream! I am in power now!

  “Oh is that so? Azu hold my ice cream.” Giana walked up to me and pressed her chest into mine. “Want to say that again, Deca? Don’t you adore me?”

  I froze Giana with [Eternal Winter].

  “Wow, you’ve become quite toxic since we’ve last met although… thinking about it, there had been signs.”

  Well this is what vixens are attracted to unfortunately, the more I do shit like this, the crazier she gets about me. She caught me after I evaded her for 2 years.

  “I see… there is so much I want to talk about… will she be fine?” Azu pointed at Giana.

  She will. I might not after she gets out.

  We sat down and Azu told me about how she flew to Nesher, a different continent. To pursue Vertoast, who she calls ‘the Imposter’ as she had copied Azu’s appearance.

  She had picked up a new language, Nayala and spoke it for a bit. I couldn’t understand it, so I returned the favor of the collection of languages I had learned from the Time Capsule.

  She told me about her long, arduous chase that occupied the majority of a decade. Elves seemed to be extinct on that continent, but there are a lot of 4t there. Yvonne might want to know that.

  After that she ‘killed’ Vertoast’s main body, she had to find all the blobs and clones that were still scattered throughout the world. Vertoast tried to revive, but Azu dropped a [Meteor] on her, preventing her revival. After that was the Great Calamity…

  Elemental spires appeared and the fairies invaded. She told me how she dealt with them. She had then wiped out all the clones from Nesher and was relaxing when the [Mistflower Teleport] activated, and she got a free trip to Kaledon.

  “I’m so happy! The flight over the ocean was so boring! So what have you been up to?”

  I gave her a summary of my life so far. We held a moment of silence at the part where Ted died, and she got excited when I told her about infiltrating Witchaven. She listened to my story until I finished.

  “Hey Agnis, I appreciate what you did with my research, I really do. Thank you. My life wasn’t worthless at all.” Tears rolled down her cheeks.

  She had endured a lot of bullshit. It doesn’t seem as if she could talk to anyone about them. And it doesn’t seem to be over. Most of the Misha still resist what she stands for.
