Raioten was snapped out of his funk.
Raioten: You want to be my girlfriend? That sounds great! I finally have one!
Moira: Really! I'm so happy! Let me see your schedule, I want to see if we have anymore classes together.
Raioten: Sure thing.
Moira: Oh! We also have second period together, but that's all. We should walk there together!
Raioten: Great! Another friend of mine should be waiting out in the hall.
As Raioten and Moira exited the classroom, Raioten scanned the halls for Morgan.
Raioten: Hmm, maybe she got real busy or something. Ready to go? You'll have to lead the way.
Moira: Yep, let's go!
Moira took Raioten by the hand and led him down the halls. She made sure to get to class early so they could get seats next to one another. Throughout their next lecture, Moira made faces at Raioten and passed him little drawings. After class, the two had to go to separate classes. Raioten was back in the middle of a sea of people he didn't know, but he felt more confident being on his own. Finishing up his classes, Raioten made his way out of the school. As he looked toward the entrance to the school, he caught a glimpse of Morgan's scarlet hair. They locked eyes for a moment, and Raioten walked towards her. Morgan's face twisted and she turned away.
Raioten: Wait! Come back!
Before he could run after Morgan, Raioten's arm was grabbed by Moira.
Moira: Hey! Did you have a great finish to your day?
Raioten: It was alright, but my friend just left looking upset.
Moira: Oh no, what happened?
Raioten: I'm not sure. I'll find out tomorrow I hope.
Moira: Everything will be fine! I'll see you in the morning!
Raioten: Ok, see you tomorrow.
Suddenly, Raioten was lifted off of the ground by his shirt. His instincts kicked in and he very nearly turned and lashed out. He calmed down to see a muscular man in a plain t-shirt holding him.
Coach: I finally found you!
Raioten: Who are you?
The Coach placed Raioten back in the ground and explained his job. He wanted nothing more than to get Raioten to run for the track team, and participate in any other sports he had time for.

Raioten: Oh, no thank you. I'm not interested. I really need to go now, sorry sir.
Raioten bolted off in pursuit of Morgan. Seeing him run away brought tears to the Coach's eyes.
Coach: You will join my team, this I swear!
As Raioten left the school, he looked all around for Morgan. Realizing that he lost her, Raioten walked back home with his head down. He carried that sulking energy all the way back home, where Jugo was waiting.
Jugo: Hey there kiddo, how was school?
Raioten: It was ok I guess.
Jugo: Did you see Morgan any?
Raioten: Yes sir, but I think she's mad at me for something.
Jugo got incredibly serious out of nowhere.
Jugo: What did you do to that little angel?
Raioten: I didn't do anything sir, honest! She was happy this morning but she wouldn't even speak to me after school.
Jugo: Well, walk me through your day and we'll try to find the issue.
Raioten: . . . And she asked to be my girlfriend after class. I told her yes and got my first friend here.
Jugo: You can stop there.
Raioten: But that was only first period.
Jugo: You really can't think of why Morgan would be upset?
Raioten: No sir, I have no idea. One second she was as happy as ever, the next, complete opposite.
Jugo: Hmmmmm. Yep, you're in quite he pickle. I could solve your issues right now, but this is something you're going to need to learn on the battlefield.
Raioten: Battlefield? What the heck does that mean?
Jugo: The Battlefield of Love! That's my one hint.
Raioten: That didn't tell me anything!
Jugo: You're smart, figure it out!
Jugo went into the kitchen, laughing a hearty laugh as he prepared dinner. Raioten went to take a shower, lost in his own confusion. He decided not to worry too much and tried to relax. Jugo surprised him with a surprisingly delicious meal.
Raioten: Where did you learn to cook like this?
Jugo: Out in the wild. You can make anything taste good when you've had to eat the things I've had to. I could teach you if you'd like.
Raioten: Yes please!
Jugo: Alright! Starting tomorrow, you'll become my apprentice.
Raioten: Thank you very much.
Raioten devoured the rest of his meal in a flash before heading into his room. He rested for the night, standing up in the corner. In the mornings, Jugo was the first to wake up. He had to head out for work before Raioten needed to wake up. Every morning Jugo would crack open Raioten's bedroom door to sneak a peek inside.
Every morning he hoped to see Raioten asleep in his bed, but he was always standing up in the corner. Jugo thought back to a conversation he and Morgan had about Raioten and his sleep. He made it his mission to give Raioten a comfortable life so that he would feel safe laying down for once. It had been years since Raioten laid down for a rest and Jugo saw no end in sight. Everyday for him started with a small heartache.
Jugo's job was a production based job, where the workers were paid for each truck they unloaded. Jugo relished in the physical labor, and was able to earn a substantial paycheck every week. As he was unloading his second truck of the day, Raioten was waking up for school.
Raioten went to school with a much more positive attitude. After making his first school friend, he felt like he could actually be one of the students with many friends. He had to put that goal on hold when he couldn't find Morgan anywhere. Since he arrived to school earlier than most, he got to see nearly every student and teacher arriving. As the first bell rang for students to head to their first class, he was more worried.
He took his seat in the back, wondering what could've happened with Morgan. He sat and stared out of the classroom window all class, up until Moira snapped him out of his trance.
Moira: Hey Raioten! Are you alright?
Raioten; hmm? Oh yes, I'm sorry. I'm okay.
Moira: I was trying to get your attention all class, I even got in trouble when the teacher caught me.
Raioten: I'm so sorry Moira.
Moira: Oh its fine, you can make it up to me this weekend.
Raioten: What's happening this weekend?
Moira: We're going on a date!
