It was 11 o’clock in Metropolis, and phone was ringing in the police station. Officer Rogers pick up the phone and the man on the other side said,

  *”LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN, FALLING DOWN, FALLING DOWN, LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN, MY FAIR LADY!!”*

  Officer Rogers asked: who is it? And why are you singing the nursery Rhyme??

  But the man only laughed. It was a a cold mirthless laugh.

  Officer Rogers gritted his teeth and slammed the phone. He went to his car, all police officers were asking him: What happened??

  But he didn’t answer and went towards amusement park.

  The night air was quite good. It was a perfect day to go out with family. And Officer Rogers was going to safe someone’s family instead of having fun with his own.

  He reached the amusement park, loaded his gun and went inside the park. There were heaps of bodies of people. The soothing air of the night became cold. And Officer Rogers was trembling. A Nursery Rhyme was being played in the park which was, *”MY FAIR LADY”*

  Officer Rogers called his team members but he was still trembling. He was trying to explain situation but his trembling voice was just asking for help.

  “Rogers could you wait. I am eating you know I will come later. They are dead. Nobody can bring them back.”

  After the cold response of his colleague he called Ambulance to take the dead bodies. Soon the whole media reached there. They were asking questions to Officer Rogers. Soon S.P came there and asked for the report.

  S.P’s phone rang and all eyes which were questioning Rogers shifted towards S.P.

  S.P put his phone on speaker and the person said:

  *”DO YOU LIKE MY SURPRISE!! I MADE IT SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU. ROGERS!”*

  S.P was shocked. He first looked at Rogers but the person from the call said:

  *WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT HIM WHILE I AM TALKING TO YOU??*

  A bullet came from afar and Officer Rogers saw it coming and he tried to save his senior but got shot in the arm.

  Officer Rogers was taken to hospital by Ambulance. His arm was shot in a severe way, that it could be fatal.

  S.P went home after taking interviews with media. In the hospital, the operation theater was set as emergency. Some people with guns entered hospital and threatened doctors to stay away from Rogers.

  William came inside with his own man and told him to operate Rogers.

  The man asked William that why was he trying to save him. He knew that no doctor in Metropolis was able to recover him. He could lose his arm forever.

  William didn’t like his question. So he showed him the gun. After Roger's operation was over. William told everyone to make everyone silence. His men killed every doctor and patient there.

  A man came inside and said: *MISSED ME!*

  The man put gun in his mouth and told him to shut up and go inside.

  William told S.P that he was angry because S.P didn’t try to capture him. And he was also angry that Rogers was shot.

  William was going to shoot S.P but his little daughter came there. She was sleeping but the noise woke her up. William saw her and smirked.

  He looked at the inspector, who was sweating with the thought of his little girl’s life at stake. He suddenly shifted towards the little girl.

  The girl who was nearly 6 years old looked at him with curiosity. William said that he was a friend of her father and he would like to play with her.

  So he told her to hold this gun and try shooting him.

  William asked the name of the girl. She told him that her name was Luna.

  S.P tried to speak but William gave him an intense glare.

  Hearing the noise, wife of inspector came out and when she saw her husband’s dead body, she began to scream. Luna said: Mommy!, Daddy is just pretending. He will wakeup. We are playing a game.

  William laughed at that child’s Innocence and said to the wife of inspector:

  “Your kid killed her own father. You should be grateful at the honorable death of your husband.”

  She tried to fight him but William held her arm tightly and said that he would never hurt a newly widow.

  William then called the police. Inspector’s wife was still weeping. William said to the police:

  You lot are of no use. Your S.P was killed by his own daughter. Well did Rogers came or not. I want his reaction.

  Then William went to the hospital, in which Rogers was operated. But Rogers was still unconscious.

  He picked his hand up and said:

  “Don’t Worry your Family was not here. Now wake up Rogers. You still didn’t kill me.”

  One of his men came and said:

  “Boss we have removed all the bodies from here. But as per your order we did not let anybody in.”

  It was 7 o’clock in the morning and Rogers woke up. The first thing he saw was William, who was sleeping on a chair. He carefully tried to find handcuffs from his pocket. William took his hand and said:

  “Why not kill me?”

  Rogers was trying to move but he was still drowsy. William told him to rest for a while. He also told him that he killed everyone so that Rogers would not be disturbed.

  Rogers was shocked at this. He wanted to get out of the hospital. But William was keeping an eye on him. So he decided to say nothing until he got out.

  The city police was trying to find William. They thought less of the hospital. Because it was said to be under emergency so no police inspector was allowed inside.

  After an hour William was feeling hungry so he said:

  “I will bring some breakfast for you Rogers. Just stay here. And don’t worry I won’t poison it. For now!”

  It was a great opportunity for Officer Rogers. So he hurriedly got out of hospital with great care and also not letting William’s men see him.

  William came back with breakfast but Rogers was not there. He gave a cold smile and sat on the bed where Rogers was laying, and he began to eat the food. He was smiling after thinking the future. He was also humming “ *MY FAIR LADY”*.

  William finished his breakfast and went to wash his hands. After that he put his hands in his pockets and walked out of the hospital. He was laughing hysterically.

  Rogers went to the police station. Everyone was trying to find William. Rogers ran too fast. He couldn’t catch his breath. Some inspectors came to his help and tried to calm him down. He told the police everything that had happened until then.

  The police surrounded the hospital. But Rogers got a call.

  “No Rogers don’t even try telling them. You see your delicate wife and son might get hurt.”

  William handed over the phone to his son who said:

  He instructed inspectors to arrest William’s men from the hospital. After that he took his car and went towards his home. During this he was constantly holding on to the call to make sure his family’s safety.

  When he reached in the ally of his home. He got out of his car and began to walk on foot. He reached the window of his room, and tried to enter his home from there, so that he could capture William from behind.

  When he entered through window, William was standing there with his child who was happy to see his father.

  Rogers held out his gun and pointed towards William but his hands were trembling.

  William said:

  “So its true that you’ve never killed anyone. I’ll be your first happily. But stop trembling. It makes me feel shy.”

  William was giving a winning smirk that at last he would make Rogers a killer. But Roger’s son said:

  “My Dad will not kill anyone even as a joke. He is an upright man with a strong sense of justice.”

  William saw the boy with mocking eyes and looked at Rogers with an intense glare.

  Rogers’s wife came from behind to attack William but William killed her with just one shot and Rogers was shockingly just watching her die. She smiled at Rogers which tore his heart down and time was like stopped.

  William looked at Rogers who sat down and held his wife’s body with trembling hands and eyes filled with tears. But he had to get up hurriedly and capture the monster before he takes away his innocent child from him.

  Rogers saw William with determination in his eyes. William smirked and opened his arms to welcome death but Rogers kicked him on the face and he went afar and fell down.

  He told his son to hide under the bed and gave William a taste of hell by kicking him. William was fighting back but he was not matched by the power of a man who has lost a loved one.

  After a handful moment, Rogers handcuffed William and called for Police Van and Ambulance. William was taken to Police Station. Rogers was at the peak of his grief but he had to keep his composure or else his son will not be able to be strong.

  William was punished gravely. Inspectors like Officer Rogers are always struggling. So we should appreciate them by trusting them. Not all police officers are same.
