Chapter 3: The First Escape

  The Road to Death

Renji barely had time to react.

The truck’s headlights fred, bathing the clearing in an unnatural glow. Its engine roared—not the mechanical hum of an ordinary vehicle, but a deep, guttural snarl, as if some ancient beast had awakened.

  Renji’s instincts screamed.

  Move!

He threw himself to the side just as Truck-kun unched forward.

  BOOM!

The ground where he had stood exploded, dirt and debris raining down like shrapnel. The sheer force of the impact sent him rolling across the ground, his vision spinning.

Shit, it’s even faster than before!

Truck-kun wasn’t just some mindless assassin of fate anymore.

  It had evolved.

The air shuddered as the truck’s wheels twisted, its entire frame bending in a way no earthly vehicle should. Dark mist oozed from its metal body, like cursed energy spilling into the world.

Renji gritted his teeth. "You’re really overdoing it, don’t you think?"

The truck’s headlights flickered, as if mocking him.

  Then—it came again.

This time, there was no time to dodge.

  It was too fast.

  Renji braced himself.

  But the impact never came.

  Instead—

A blinding fsh of silver cut through the air.

  CLANG!

A sharp, resonant impact rang out as something smmed into Truck-kun’s grill, sending the monstrous vehicle skidding backward.

  Renji’s breath caught.

  Someone had stopped it.

  The Mysterious Savior

  He turned toward the source.

There, standing amidst the wreckage, was a woman.

She was cd in flowing bck robes, silver embroidery weaving intricate patterns along the fabric. A hood covered most of her face, but strands of dark silver hair peeked out.

In her hand, she held a crescent-shaped weapon, glowing with an ethereal light.

Her voice was smooth, yet carried an edge of authority.

"You took too long to awaken, Renji."

Renji blinked. "Who the hell are you?"

The woman didn’t answer. Instead, she lifted her weapon again, its silver edge pulsing with strange runes.

  Truck-kun roared.

The air around it distorted, its form shifting once more. The unnatural bck mist around its frame began twisting violently, forming spectral chains that shed out at the woman.

  But she was faster.

With a single sweeping motion, she cut through the mist, severing the chains like they were nothing.

Renji could only watch in shock.

  She’s actually pushing it back…

The Truth About the Eternal Wheel

The woman turned to him, her gaze unreadable beneath the hood.

"You don’t have time to hesitate. If you truly wish to escape the Cycle, you must come with me—now."

Renji clenched his fists. "Escape the Cycle?"

  The woman narrowed her eyes.

"Did you really think your reincarnations were accidents? That Truck-kun simply ‘found’ you over and over again?"

A chill ran down Renji’s spine.

"No," she continued. "The Eternal Wheel has been hunting you because you were never supposed to exist outside its design."

  Renji’s mind raced.

He had assumed he was just unlucky. That some cosmic joke had forced him to reincarnate endlessly, always thrown into ridiculous and fatal situations.

  But now—

Now, she was telling him there was something more.

"Your existence defies fate, Renji," she said. "And Truck-kun is merely the enforcer of the Cycle’s will."

Renji exhaled, steadying himself. "Then what the hell am I supposed to do?"

  The woman didn’t hesitate.

  "Survive."

Truck-kun let out a thunderous roar. The entire forest trembled.

It was preparing for something big.

The woman reached toward Renji. "Take my hand. If you stay here, you die."

For a split second, Renji hesitated.

But then—Truck-kun surged forward, faster than ever before.

  Renji cursed—and grabbed her hand.

  The world exploded in light.
