The aircraft docked at Aria and there was a crowd of soldiers waiting at the hanger. They were there to register the deaths of their fallen comrades and also for maintenance of the aircraft but most importantly, they were here to welcome their Lord back.

  Měi qí stood away from the crowd and stayed in a secluded area but her eyes were glued to the nding air destroyer. She didn’t spare a gnce at her daughter who snuck out of the hanger.. chasing a woman.

  Her eyes glowed up when Aria finally got out of the air destroyer. The sound of thousands of soldiers saluting and greeting her wife resounded throughout the area, making everyone aware… Well, making the soldiers who were aware of her absence realize she was back, their Lord was back and her lover had returned safely.

  She silently left the pce to their home in Aria, she wasn’t in a hurry anymore. She would wait for her wife to deal with the issues at hand and then look for her, she had overwhelming patience now.

  Měiyún chuckled as she stubbornly followed the woman who ran away from her five years ago. Five years ago, before her mom disappeared, she had a one-night stand with a woman of unknown identity. She who had never once been attracted to others couldn’t stop herself from sleeping with her, that night was the best thing that had ever happened to her but unfortunately, by the time she woke up, the woman had run.

  Normally she wouldn’t care and would have searched for her but unfortunately, her mom disappeared at that time so she had to suppress her longing for the unknown woman and started her search for her mom.

  She spent five years scouting the areas outside the dome but couldn’t find her thankfully her mom was back safely, her mama wouldn’t have suicidal thoughts anymore and she could finally chase this woman.

  She was ecstatic when she saw Lynn at the briefing for the meeting, it took all her self-control not to capture her there but now this woman still wants to pretend like she didn’t exist, like they didn’t have that connection. She wasn’t going to let that happen.

  With rge strides, Měiyún overtook Lynn and stopped her in her tracks. Lynn sighed with annoyance, her muscles tensing like she was about to get into a big battle

  “I missed you, for five years I couldn’t stop thinking about you”

  The heartfelt words from Měiyún defted the tension in her muscles as Lynn sighed softly, but before she could say anything Měiyún continued

  “Why did you leave? Was I not good enough but you didn’t tell me to stop… You didn’t even leave me a way to contact you. You just barged into my life and ran off, I was hurt.”

  Her serious words continued, totally ignoring the curious looks they were getting after all, they were still in uniform.

  Lynn finally looked up and met the burning gaze of Měiyún, those eyes told her it wasn’t giving up. Her heart fluttered but when she thought about the difference between both of them she steeled it.

  “Let’s talk somewhere else.”

  Měiyún hurriedly nodded and they relocated to the restaurant, Lynn silently booked a private booth and now they were sat across each other only because Lynn didn’t let Měiyún sit beside her.

  Lynn stared at Měiyún for two seconds and thought of a way to let her down gently

  “I’m aroace this won’t work between us”

  Měiyún didn’t even think as she refuted her words

  “Ignoring the aromatic part, there’s no way you’re asexual. No asexual would beg to be fucked so you’re not fooling me miss.”

  Lynn squinted her eyes for a second, her dark skin soft as she frowned at the woman opposite her while also silently bming her rushing heart that didn’t stop from the second her eyes saw her.

  “Fine you want to know why I left don’t you?”

  Měiyún swiftly nodded without missing a beat and Lynn fired

  “What we did was sex, you expect me to want to be with you forever for a one-night stand? That’s stupid and besides that. Our identities are different. You’re an Air commodore and I’m a Flight lieutenant. We do not match and to make matters worse your parents are Lords…. They wouldn’t want you to be with someone that’s just starting, they would want to match you with someone closer to you in status so stop this Miss Měiyún”

  The room fell Into silence for a while before Měiyún chuckled with happiness. Before Lynn could do anything, her slender body moved around the table and hugged the beautiful woman into her arms and words flowed out of her lips, halting her struggle

  “You had sex with me because you’re attracted to me, it wasn’t just sex between us. Our careers are not an excuse for you running away, no one cares about that so the reason you ran must be because of my parents. How silly you are miss, my moms dote on me and give me freedom in everything I do so even if I brought a criminal home as a lover they would still bless us and with everything said. You still didn’t tell me you’re not attracted to me so how could I stop, I refuse.”

  Lynn was now speechless and the slender body holding her didn’t let her think as she raised her chin. Her blue eyes met Měiyún’s grey eyes, their breaths mixed and Měiyún said teasingly

  “Miss. What other excuses do you have or would you like to be my girlfriend now, if you think it’s too slow… We can also get married immediately. Your choice”

  She was defeated. What could she say, everything she’s worried about was not a worry. When she found out the next day that she was the adopted daughter of the lords, she immediately assumed that they would never work out so she ran off, but unfortunately, even with her escape, her heart was firmly held in her arms and now she could hand herself over as well. She was happy.

  Lynn fshed a brilliant smile as she sat astride Měiyún p, her hands locked on her neck as she pecked her cheek and said teasingly to the woman holding her waist tightly

  “so you want to be with me?”

  Měiyún eagerly nodded, her eyes never moving from her face

  “Unfortunately you still have an obstacle to cross”

  Měiyún visibly defted at Lynn’s words but she didn’t let it pull her down and seriously asked

  “Who do I have to win over?”

  “My little cousin.”

  Confusing appeared on her beautiful face as Lynn looked on with hidden adoration, at least Měiyún hadn’t noticed that Lynn adored her

  “Why am I impressing your little cousin?”

  “Because she’s the next head of the family and according to tradition, any Starr that wants to get married. The spouse has to gain the recognition of the chairman. In this situation, she’ll be the head in a month or so.”

  Měiyún eyes shone with understanding and nodded before realizing what Lynn said

  “Marry?! You’ll get married to me!?”

  Lynn simply scoffed at her surprise and happiness before saying

  “What you don’t want to?”

  “I do! I do! I’m just so happy!”

  Měiyún happily hugged her, unaware of the chaos brewing tendencies of the Starr children…

  Especially since for the first time since their household was created, they would finally get to create the wedding trials.

  Lynn moved to get up but stopped when Měiyún didn’t release her

  “Let go”

  “Do I have to?”

  “If she doesn’t approve of you, even Lord Aria can’t let us be together “

  Měiyún pouted but ultimately let Lynn sit beside her, that didn’t stop her from sticking on her though and Lynn sighed exasperation at this

  “Why didn’t I notice you were this clingy five years ago!?”

  Měiyún scoffed with disbelief as she said

  “What are you talking about, I barely let you breathe then and you say I was not clingy!?”

  Lynn let it go after realizing the truth and called Arya. The call rang three times before Arya appeared on the screen with a view of a bamboo forest behind her

  “You’re not in Aria?”

  Arya nodded silently as she turned to look at her wife pying with pandas with a doting look before focusing on Lynn as she said

  “It’s good to see you safe and sound. Aunt was really worried”

  “She’s always worried but that’s not why I called you”

  “Oh? What is it, I’m currently on my honeymoon if you couldn’t tell”

  “It’s obvious, I Want to introduce someone to you”

  Arya visibly frowned as different thoughts formuted that instant

  “Who?”

  “Prospective fiancée.”

  She was stunned. Arya silently massaged her temples as she tried to understand how her cousin who was supposed to be Aroace wanted a fiancée.

  “We will talk about this when we meet Lynn. You and that person should come to měi qí, luckily there’s a way to test them here”

  Lynn ughed at Arya’s awkwardness and confusion but nodded nonetheless. Arya is understanding, the males on the other hand, well they wouldn’t be as welcoming as they are to Aqua after all, I am marrying out, the first Starr to marry out… They definitely won’t be happy.

  Before Lynn could open her mouth to say she understood Aqua entered the frame and kissed Arya on the neck as they snuggled up together. Lynn was a soldier so her eyesight was sharp and so she noticed the bite marks on Aqua’s neck, not like it was hidden in the first pce.

  Měiyún was looking in shock and excitement when Aqua entered the frame like every fan of hers and Aqua greeted Lynn

  “Lynn you’re safe. That’s a relief”

  “Mmm. You two seem to have gone far in your retionship”

  Lynn gently teased them, unfortunately, one was born without a shy bone in her and the other simply stopped caring so they didn’t react much Aqua said

  “Mmm. We like each other”

  Lynn ughed and closed the mouth of Měiyún which was still open due to shock

  “Like is good, before you know it you’re in love. There’s no rush anyway.”

  “Mmm. Are you guys done with your conversation, if so I’m going to end the call okay Lynn”

  “Ok. You girls have fun”

  Aqua smiled brightly and I silently ughed at how Arya never once looked away from her wife, really endearing. Unfortunately, Měiyún was still starstruck

  “That was Aqua?! Thee Aqua!?”

  “Yes”

  Lynn had an eyebrow raised, her silver hair beautifully framing her face as she looked at Měiyún silently. Měiyún who suddenly felt danger decided to appease her soon-to-be lover and took her back into her arms

  “That’s cool. Um, your name is Lynn?”

  Lynn burst out ughing when she realized that five years ago, she never introduced herself. This woman was stuck on her but never knew her name. She felt a bit bad and kissed her chin and said

  “Yes, I’m Lynn Starr. Nice to meet you”

  Měiyún ughed, her dimples making her adorable especially since they don’t show all the time

  “Nice to meet you I’m Měi yún, your future wife”

  Lynn ughed as she rested her body on Měiyún’s slender frame and said

  “Sure. If you can successfully pass the trials “

  “I’ll make sure to pass it! I don’t pn to give up after all “

  “Well. You’ll need your optimistic self”

  Měiyún blinked slowly with confusion as he asked

  “What does that mean?”

  “Nothing baby, don’t think too much “

  “I feel like you’re teasing me?”

  “Definitely not”

  “Ok. I can’t wait for you to be mine!”

  “(Laughs) A few days, just a few days “

  The two women talked about everything that could be said, including Aqua after all it is Aqua and according to Měiyún even her moms were fans of Aqua, who is she not to be one?

  “You’re sure this information is accurate?”

  “Yes, young master. She’s going to be there on the ascension festival”

  “If she doesn’t appear I’ll have your head! Prepare the men, the festival is only a week away. Get the pce infiltrated before then”

  “But that’s –“

  “I want no excuses! Infiltrate the festival and capture her without anyone knowing. I expect to see her here in a week. Do you understand?”

  “Yes young master”

  “Get lost”
